Teen actress allegedly molested on flight, breaks down in video

Mumbai, Dec 12 (Zee News): A Bollywood actress has revealed that a fellow passenger tried to molest her on a recent Delhi-Mumbai flight.

Expressing her disgust over the incident on Saturday, she said that a middle-aged man who was sitting behind her on a Vistara flight, tried to molest her.

Reportedly, the man was caressing her neck while she was asleep. She tried to record what the man was doing, but failed due to dim lights. She, however, managed to get a screenshot of the man`s activities on the flight to some extent.

She also expressed her displeasure with crew members of the flight.Right after deboarding the flight, she took to Instagram to narrate her experience in a live video. In the video, she can be seen fighting her tears and saying, "This is not done, I am disturbed. Is this how you're going to take care of girls?" She ended her video by saying, "Who is going to help us Girls? If we don't help ourselves, nobody will come ahead."

Following her revelation in a social media post, the airline has launched a probe into the incident.

“We have seen the reports regarding teen's experience with another customer on board last night. We are carrying out detailed investigation and will support the actress in every way required. We have zero tolerance for such behaviour,” ANI quoted the airlines as saying on Sunday.

Editor's Note: In accordance with POCSO Act, we have removed the actress' name from the report as she is a minor. We have also removed the embedded video which she had uploaded in her Instagram.

Publicity stunt..when asked if she wanted to file an FIR she denied..this lady did this for cheap publicity and as usual men are crying to bring more strict laws which ultimately will be used against men by false case filers to extort money or gain revenge..ppl should stop trusting women blindly and use their sense...

These guys get carried away by what they see heroines perform on screen wherein there is unwanted touch but reel life is paid while real life is different these sick people should realise. the guy who did it must be from dongi or mahachor ganthbandan who wanted to demean Beti Bachao Abhiyan of Hon PM Modiji . Youth leader Pappu should condemn such behaviour of his own party or alliance partners.

Public Stunt!!!. such things happen in every country not only in India, middle aged men have this habit which no Modi or Rahul can change, why blame them? Going to social media and crying foul is a trend now . Even the news is not spared from this. I have seen such incidents happening but the victim reacts in a better way to stop him without hype. If the same was a requirement for a film, and Hero or a comedian shown in such act, wont she agree to sign it? Aren't our films show such things and call it glamour/fun? who is misguiding then? Is blaming men and govt will give her a solution?

It's not about her reaction.Maybe she could have raised a hue n cry then itself..dealt with it and then posted it on social media like few bold women would do..The issue is about the molestation which is totally wrong and has to stop.No point in telling that it happens everywhere.Change your filthy mindset that it's acceptable. It's wrong and molesters have to be punished.

@Sharan Mangalore, Have you heard of Rohtak sisters? who got national fame as heros, Do you know the truth of social media hype? Check it here, fill your mind with some knowledge before commenting.
December 2014. Nearly 27 months later, a Rohtak court on Friday discharged the three men as the police probe report did not have the evidence to put the three men on trial.

Haryana police wrapped up the probe within six months and filed its report in the court in 2015. It hadn't been able to find any witnesses who could substantiate the molestation charge levelled by the two girls, Arti and Pooja Kumar. The bus passengers who did come forward supported the three men. According to the police, a polygraph test too didn't indicate the men were lying.

The three - Kuldeep, Deepak and Mohit - look visibly relaxed as they sit on a charpoy (netted cot) back in Assan village, about 15 km from the Rohtak court. They had spent a night in jail, but they talk how the case had cost them dear.

"Both Kuldeep and I were interested in joining the army. We had already cleared the medical and physical tests. But we were debarred from sitting for the written exam due to this case," said Deepak.

"Now we are too old (to apply again)". The maximum age to get into the army or the constabulary of the paramilitary forces is 23. The court verdict came a year too late for him. He is 24.

Balbir, Kuldeep's father, who retired from the army, said he was heart-broken that his son could not follow his footsteps. "I had written an application to the police that it is my son who is getting beaten up, how is that these sisters are being treated as heroes? I even asked them to check my boy's background in his school and college," he said.

Kuldeep said they were on their way home after writing an exam in the state transport bus when the incident took place. An elderly lady had bought a ticket for the seat that she was meant to sit on. We had an argument on that and they abused us." he said

We have reserved seats for ladies in local buses, inter state buses and also in trains. It is the high time we introduce a first few rows exclusive for the single travelling ladies in airplanes. This increases the safety especially against pervert passengers.

Allen IXE,Allen, seats in bus are only in India but in a aviation is difficult to reserve.Instead a lady can if she wants to ask or to change her seat suppose some prolems arise, instead of making a big video or such things claiming later.why did she not call immediately a flight attender and complain.?Things could have cleared then and there.Or go to a seat elsewhere if it is not occupied. One shouldnt extend things where it is not needed and unnecessary.she could have warned him personally and he would have let it be.

As long as we have uneducated rulers, who do not know the governance, this will happen. We need our highly qualified leaders, who know how to govern, how to implement the policies made, not just give bulshit in speechs and do nothing.
It is our own fault, we only elect these uneducated goons to parliament, because the guy belong to our community, or he /she distributed liquor and 500 rupees prior to voting.
We call ourselves world's largest democracy, but really do we have democracy? Election won by distributing a saree, a bottle of liquor or 500 rupees !

Wearing Burkha is not the solution. In India, laws are so weak and we need strict laws to punish the rapists. Unfortunately governments in India trying to ban alchohol, ban beef and ban what not but they are not able to reduce molestation and rapes. Our politicians are interested only in vote bank and power. They are least bothered about common man. BJP main aim is cow and Ram Mandir and fake protection of hindus, Congress agenda is appeasement of minorities and other political parties they have their own interests.

    HIJAB (VEIL) IN HINDU SCRIPTURES
“When Brahma has made you a woman, you should lower your gaze and should not look up. Youshould put your feet together and you should not reveal what the garment and the veil conceals.”
[Rig Veda Book no. 8 Hymn no. 33V. no. 19]
So the Rig Veda says that the woman should wear the veil. They should lower their gaze andshould not stare.
“Unlovely is the person is the husband who covers his thighs with the garment of his wife. “
[Rig Veda Book no. 10 Hymn no. 85 V. no.30“]
So the Rig Veda says that wearing the clothes of the opposite sex is prohibited.
“When Purshuram comes, Rama tells his wife Sita that “He is our elder, please lower your gaze, and put on the veil.

Just as you should know, the hindus do not have any one scripture to be followed.
We can refer to anyone for guidance or not refer at all. Its our choice.
I can quote many more scriptures, where it is written that the women should be respected no matter who she is. No matter what she is wearing or not.
So dont get into this scripture thing. The argument will never end.
Its the men who need to be educated.

Mark 9:47 "And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell " no need of any veil or any blanket . Have a child like mind that is enough.

It.s high time you come out of ancient times & set limits for women. That patriarchal mindset of what women should wear & behave should go off now that women work outside their homes and are proficient in every job as a man.Stop dictating terms from Rigveda for a clear cut case of an indecent, cheap man molesting a young girl.
