Indians' enthusiasm attracts us the most, says Pakistani actor

Islamabad, Nov 23 (IANS): Pakistani actress Humaima Malick, who ventured into Bollywood with the 2014 film "Raja Natwarlal", says the enthusiasm with which the Indian film fraternity works attracts artistes from her country to Indian cinema.

Humaima is currently gearing up for the release of "Arth 2" - a Pakistani remake of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's 1982 film "Arth". The film also features Shaan Shahid, Mohib Mirza and Uzma Hassan.

"Indians value art; they consider it as part of their culture; they don't slack behind debating over what's right and wrong," Uzma, who is a theatre artist and visits India twice a year for her theatrical performances, said at a university event here, reports tribune.com.pk.

Adding to that, Humaima said: "And they (Indians) know and comprehend their jobs well; they work hard and in unity; they wake up in the morning with the same enthusiasm about their jobs as they would have done a day before, no matter how petty their job may seem on the outside -- and this is what attracts us the most as artistes."
