After MLAs, Vasant Bangera, Nagaraj and others raised their voices against the minister, many thumped their desks and started shouting. Even senior ministers did not come to the rescue of Anjenaya and hence he had to bear the brunt of the combined assault.

MLA, Vasant Bangera, was the first to raise his voice against the alleged discrimination in the department. He said that meddlemen are ruling the roost in the department and that grants are issued to agents on commission basis whereas legislators do not get any grant. He was supported by M T B Nagaraj. A large number of MLAs immediately jumped to their feet to support these allegations. When KPCC president tried to silence the MLAs, chief minister stopped him and allowed legislators to air their grievances.

At the meeting, strong words were exchanged between MLA, Narendra Swamy and Anjaneya, with both of them addressing each other in singular. M T B Nagaraj and Anjaneya were about to come to blows. After allegations started becoming personal, the chief minister advised the legislators not to discuss things on personal basis. Thereafter, order was restored in the meeting, it is gathered.
