Mangaluru: Man seeks apology for posting derogatory comments against Koragajja

Mangaluru, Nov 5: After posting derogatory comments in Facebook in September, a repentent Manoj Pandith sought apology in front of Koragajja katte dedicated to the 'daiva' (spirit) at Padavinangady here on Sunday November 5 in the presence of Hindu Samrakshana Samiti members.

The 45-year-old Manoj Pandith who hails from Sirsi had posted derogatory comments against Koragajja in September. Irked and hurt by the comments, the Hindu Samrakshana Samiti had complained to DCP (law and order) Hanumantharaya against Manoj Pandith.

Following the complaint, the police had arrested Manoj three weeks ago. He was later released on bail after his family members suffered health problems. Thereafter, he agreed to apologise.

On the night of November 5, Manoj came to Mangaluru and sought apology in front of Koragajja 'katte' for his derogatory remarks on Facebook.

Manoj said he had posted the comments without knowing anything about Koragajja.
