Varanasi, Aug 19: After missing posters of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi were put up in their constituencies Raebareli and Amethi respectively, now missing posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have surfaced in Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency.

The posters carrying the PM’s photo had bold headers stating “Varanasi MP Narendra Modi has been missing from his own constituency”.

To add to the sarcasm, lines from a ‘ghazal’ by noted singer Jagjeet Singh were quoted, 'Jane woh kaunsa desh jahan tum chale gaye' (one does not know which country you have gone to).

The poster adds that the last time, the MP was seen on March 4 to 6 this year when he came to seek vote for BJP candidates in the Assembly elections, but he went 'missing' soon after. If his whereabouts were not known, then, the people of Kashi would be forced to file an FIR, it says.

According to sources, the posters surfaced in many prominent places of Kutchery area in Varanasi town on Friday night. However, no one knows who is the mastermind behind these mysterious posters. The administration immediately pulled down the posters and the cops are probing the issue.

The local BJP leaders claimed that the posters are a part of conspiracy.

When the posters of Congress leaders had appeared earlier, the Congress party had blamed BJP.
