Uddhav Thackeray takes dig at BJP, says it has money to buy votes, but not oxygen

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 18: Taking a dig at Bharatiya Janata Party over the Gorakhpur tragedy, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has alleged that the party has money to buy votes during elections but does not have money to pay for oxygen.

Addressing a public meeting in Bhaynder (East) ahead of civic body polls in Mira Bhaynder, he termed electronic voting machines (EVMs), an insult to democracy. Uddhav said that when you press the EVM button you have no idea who your vote has gone to. He demanded to bring back the old system of voting in a ballot paper as it will rule out misappropriations.

He also alleged that despite the note ban, the BJP is distributing money to buy votes, to break a party and to form the government. The BJP and the Shiv Sena are fighting the August 20 election independently. There are 94 seats to be won. A seat was won unopposed by the Congress.

Uddhav further questioned as to what action has the government taken against those responsible for the Gorakhpur tragedy.

He criticized BJP President Amit Shah for saying “In a big country like India, there have been many such incidents in the past. This is not the first time.” Terming the attitude as cruel, he said BJP has a hypocritical approach when it is in power and when in opposition. “After the 26/11 terror attacks, the then home minister R R Patil had made a similar statement. It attracted a lot of criticism. Patil and then CM Vilasrao Deshmukh had to resign,” recalled Uddhav.

The Gorakhpur incident clearly indicates that the governance is in mess, he added.

Friday being the last day of campaigning, both the saffron parties are wooing voters. Uddhav says he is confident to win in MBMC polls, as his party had not got down to cash for vote policy. The voting will be held on Sunday. Counting of votes will take place on August 21.

Uddhav Thackeray were you on leave all this days? You never spoke about Ghatkopar building collapse and about Sunil Shitap. You should be the one who should sell all the property of Sunil Shitap and pay the money to the people and tenants who lost their life and the property.
By the way good attack on BJP regarding the oxygen issue.

Quite true what Uddhav has stated that the BJP has money to buy votes and peoples representatives but no money for Oxygen. They used the plank of corruption to come to power and what the country witnessed in Gujarat is Political Corruption. The statements of Amit Shah on serious incidents smack of Arrogance and total lack of humanity. The electronic voting machines have made a mockery of the democratic process.

Newly wed couples in UP under Chief Minister will get a 'shagun'(ceremonial offering) from the state government. To be distributed through neighbourhood ASHA workers, the 'shagun' will actually be a kit promoting family planning message and comparing condoms and oral contraceptive pills among other things.
When nation is mourning for more than 100 children's deaths so far for medical negligence he is announcing grand 'Krishna Janmashtami' celebration.
CM offers Condoms as Marriage Gift but has no money to clear the mounting 'oxygen cylinder' supplier.
He government has no regret for the criminal negligence neither they know priorities.

It seems BJPee is worse than SP or Congress. If Cong loves to play with money, BJP loves to play with peoples lives. Everywhere from go-rakshak to Jawans getting killed due to heightened situation in Kashmir, Farmers suicide in all BJP ruled states. And now nobody is willing to take responsibility of these children''s death. There is death everywhere. I hope UP citizens have learned their lesson.

Only Chors are left in the party today who are experts in making huge scams, these guys have nothing to do with Independence of India . This generation of leaders are born after Indian Independence.
