Mangaluru: Roopesh-Pooja to play lead in Tulu film ‘Ammer Polisa’

Mangaluru, Aug 17: The lead cast for Sooraj K Shetty’s next ‘Ammer Polisa’ has been finalised. Well-known actor Roopesh Shetty and actress Pooja Shetty will play the lead.

Roopesh has featured in Tulu, Kannada and Konkani films, while Pooja Shetty has acted in Tulu film ‘Dombarata’ and reality shows.

Director Sooraj after ‘Ekka Sakka’ and ‘Pilibail Yamunakka’ decided to cast fresh faces in ‘Ammer Polisa’. While the lead pair has been finalised, a decision on actors for other characters will be taken soon.

“A few actors have to be finalised before we start shooting next month. We are waiting for the dates of few actors as I want them to be in my film,” said Sooraj.

Rajesh B Shetty will produce the film. The script and songs are ready. Arjun Lewis has written the lyrics and Sandeep Ballal has composed the music. Sachin S Shetty has handled cinematography. ‘Bale Thelipaale’ fame Prasanna Shetty, Sandeep Shetty and Deepak Rai will also be seen in the film.

    They say they want all fresh face and then do auditions for publicity. Now select well known actors in tulu industry. then why simply call young talents for auditions and select some one who is already experienced. Cheap publicity skills have started in coastal wood tool. Bad sign.
