Bengaluru: Amit Shah criticised for 'disrespecting' Adichunchanagiri seer

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Aug 15: BJP National president Amit Shah has been criticized by many for sitting cross-legged before the seer of Adichunchanagiri Math, Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, during a recent meeting.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah speaking about the incident said that Shah should know how to conduct himself before religious leaders.

“Karnataka holds religious leaders, especially the Adichunchanagiri seer in high esteem. Shah should have known how to sit in front of the seer,” Siddaramaiah said.

After the photo went viral in social media, hundreds of people have criticized Amit Shah while some have defended him too saying he did not do it intentionally to disrespect the seer.

Later a photo of Amit Shah visiting Sri Ravishankar, of Art of Living, was also circulated in social media. There too Amit Shah sat cross-legged.

Some photos of Siddaramaiah, H D Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy sitting in front of the Adichunchanagiri Math seer without cross-legged and Amit Shah sitting cross-legged were posted together to compare them with the latter.

Meanwhile Adichunchanagiri Math has issued a statement saying Amit Shah was in discussion with another Swamiji and when Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji walked in, he changed his position and hence no disrespect was shown to the seer.

For Amit Shah of BJP religion is just vote bank. There is huge gap between practice and propagation. His whole purpose of the trip is to influence the mutt head to convert his followers into BJP's vote bank.
Once practice shows that how he's been groomed in the society.

I am not criticizing or favoring any political parties. But one thing one must keep it in their mind that when we point one finger at others, three fingers are pointing towards them. Forgetting every acts of his own like wearing chappals when visiting sacred place, now CM Siddaramayya ridiculing or criticizing Amit Shah-BJP national President for ‘Disrespecting’ Adichunchanagiri seer by sitting cross legged in front of seer. But prima facie says it was not intentionally. As far as CM Siddaramayya is concerned, he too might have not commented intentionally but as he was under deep slumber because of Anesthesia given by Amit Shah’s visit to the city, he could not digest it and uttered something when he opened his eyes out of disgustion. It is true that when man is affected by Jaundice, he can see the world yellow, yellow everywhere, that what is the case with our esteemed CM.Whatever he utters is just to tarnish the name of Amit Shah out of vengeance. That is all. This is called political vendetta.
Further there is one saying is there:-when she- buffalos are going in a row, last buffalo seeing the front buffalo’s back protion, started laughing forgetting her back portion is also being seen by somebody else.
We cannot blame or criticize any political leader or political party. First of all we have to blame ourselves for casting our valuable franchises to them and sending them to higher post hoping they will do something good to the state, country and the people. When the elections are approaching, they become alert, start visiting our houses, bow down to us with false promises and once the elections are over, they are not to be seen and disappearing from the sight for ever until the next election comes. What they will do, nothing, they will start amass looted wealth from the poor people and fill in their treasure. This is what is happening in one of the largest democratic countries called India. All the political leaders are like that only. Vote bank politics.

I see my junior colleagues come to my office and sit like that. In my relatives houses, I saw children sitting like that right in front of me and their parents.

Later, sadly I have to accept the old "protocol" is no more a "protocol". Amit Shah is also not an exception.

    jeevan,

Do you respect your parents and have ever kept your legs on the easy chair when your Dad sits in front of you? Respect comes from the bottom of the heart and our formost duty towards elders or religious heads. i.e. self concience and not by external force.

What people should know is that the people in high political office dont give a damn about religion or god. They just use these things as tools to manipulate peoples minds.

Napoleon who was one of the most powerful person of his times said this - ''Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet''

Being an atheist helps in this case because it takes away the main tool from the people who have power.
