Bengaluru: Amit Shah, RSS leaders to discuss Yeddy's style of functioning

Bengaluru, Aug 14 (DHNS): The style of functioning of BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, among others, is likely to figure in a meeting of the party national president Amit Shah with senior RSS?functionaries in Bengaluru on Monday.

Shah is scheduled to have a breakfast meeting with the leaders at the residence of an RSS functionary on Monday, the venue of which has been kept under wraps for security reasons.

Ever since he took over as the BJP chief, Shah has made it a tradition to interact and take feedback from the RSS functionaries on political scenario and the affairs of the jurisdictional state unit of the party in the states he has been visiting. As many as 25 RSS functionaries and Sangha leaders including V Nagaraj, Mukund, Thippeswamy, Sridharswamy, Mangesh Bhende are expected to attend the Monday’s meeting. According to party sources, several RSS functionaries are not happy with the style of functioning of Yeddyurappa. They have summoned him thrice since May last year after he took over as state chief and advised him to take seniors in the BJP into confidence before taking decisions related to the party, including appointments to various posts in the BJP.

The functionaries are also understood to be unhappy with the BJP national general secretary in-charge of Karnataka P Muralidhar Rao for not making much of an impact or ushering in discipline in the party despite completing nearly three years in the post. They sought to compare him with All India Congress Committee general secretary in-charge of Karnataka Congress K C Venugopal, who could instill some amount of dynamism in the state unit after taking charge just four months ago. The sources said these two issues among others are likely to figure in?the Monday’s meeting.

On Sunday, Shah also held an interaction programme with as many as 88 volunteers who have pledged to work full-time for the party under the Vistaarak Yojana (reach out programme) for the next one year ahead of the Assembly elections. Shah thanked them for dedicating one year of their lives for the party work.

Amit Shah call does pro that RSS wanted remote control government operated from 'Nagpur' not an 'good governance' they promised to the nation.
It is up know kannadigas to decide they want CM Yogi style 'ban' government or Shivraj Singh Chouhan 'Vypam' governorate.

We Kannadigas don't want 'Gujarat Model' in karnataka. Nor we would like to vote for resort politics on Reddy's donations from illegal wealth. We don't want Church attacks for votes or communal violence for survival.
The Karnataka is far ahead of all means and will maintain the dignity of our state.
We Kannadigas reject Sangh Parivars deceive politics. We kannadiga believe in inclusive politics which respects all religions and cultures with equality

The BJP is a divided house in Karnataka. Its a catch 22 situation with Yeddy and a lose lose situation. The present CM has provided an Able and Stable Administration with Peace, Hormony and all round Devlopment. A big Thums Up to the Congress Govt for another five years. The timing of the IT raids on our Minister was suspect and a crude attempt to arm twist him.

When he himself is indisciplined how can he bring discipline among other party members. He has no diplomacy. Always quarrels with his counterparts like Eshrappa and create bad image to the Party. His functioning is upto mark. If this is the case how can you make him CM of Karnataka in case BJP wins.

I don't mind Modi at center, any one else other than Congress in the state.

Problem of plenty for State BJP. Yeddy is a tall community leader among Lingayats. Also he disbanded his local outfit KJP before merging with parent party. Yeddy has led BJP to victory for first time in a Southern state in 2008. So his seniority needs to be respected.

However Yeddy needs to change his style of functioning. He is more of a autocrat which does not gel in a democratic cadre based party. Other than him, there are no mass leaders in state. So Shah needs to do more of hand holding & instructing Yeddy here
