Mangaluru: Members of Abhaya Friends visit Cheshire Homes

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 17: Abhaya Friends’ members visited Cheshire Homes in the city recently. They all had a warm welcome from the inmates of Cheshire.

Nirmal D’Souza, president, Abhaya Friends, on the occasion, explained about the purpose of the visit and introduced the members.

Wilson, a member, invoked God’s blessings with a group prayer in Hindi and Kannada that was joined by the inmates. Children entertained the members of Cheshire Homes through song and dance. The next part of the entertainment was a well-orchestrated dance of the youth. Even the aged women of Cheshire Homes danced along to the music. They also entrained the gathering with their songs, skits and jokes. The last part of the entertainment programme was the sole Konkani song by Viswas Rembimbus.

Sr Magdalene, in her vote of thanks, described the efforts put by the Daughters of Vincent de Paul in running Cheshire Homes.
