Kundapur: Congress supported candidates win Jadkal and Hosangadi GP by-elections

Kundapur, July 5: By-elections were held recently for one each constituency in Jadkal and Hosangadi grama panchayats in the taluk. Congress supported candidates have come out successful in them.





Congress candidate, Soumya from Mudooru 1st constituency from Jadkal grama panchayat secured 376 votes and won. Her closest rival, Biji secured 185 votes. A total of 565 votes were cast in the booth.

In the elections held for second constituency of Hosangadi grama panchayat, Congress supported candidate Bhaskar Shetty secured 321 votes and was declared the winner. His closest rival Bhujanga Shetty secured 310 votes and lost. 645 people exercised their franchise in this election.
