FIFA chief lauds Confederations Cup semi-final

Kazan (Russia), June 29 (IANS): FIFA President Gianni Infantino said on Thursday that the first semi-final of the 2017 Confederations Cup between Chile and Portugal was incredible.

The match was scoreless after the end of regulation time and 30 minutes of added time on Wednesday night, reports Tass news agency.

But the Chileans eventually recorded an impressive 3-0 win in the penalty shoot-out to secure a berth in the final.

Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo pulled off three saves during the penalty shoot-out.

"Incredible game again. Very tense but very intense as well. In football you have an impression and feeling you've seen everything and you always see something new something else," Infantino said, adding that that is why people like football.
