Empathize with the loss of his left hand, but am perplexed how he decided to jump into a lake lying in a "reserved forest"?? If am not wrong outsiders have no permission to enter reserve forests?

Lack of common sense made him lose his invaluable body part!

I believe there is nothing to eat inside the lake for these crocodiles. Why to waste money. Food and time for the criminals in jail. Best thing is throw every day a criminal who raped, murdered, looted the country into the lake. Crocodiles also happy and country also peaceful

Even the crocs are sensible and intelligent reptiles... they will refuse to eat the criminals, including criminal-politicians.

stupid fellow, lacking in basic common sense- lucky to have only lost a limb. Forest is for wildlife - why do humans want to intrude into their space?

It is terrible to lose an arm. Fortunately for the man, the matter could have been far worse if a larger crocodile was looking for lunch.

In a perverse way, the case highlights what is essentially deficient in India's education system:

The educational institutes spend a lot of effort in developing minds with absolutely superb bookish knowledge, but hardly venture into developing the students' common-sense.

People with some common-sense would know how the waterways (and other areas) in the National Parks usually have dangerous wildlife frequenting the areas.

Imagine the situation if the forest guards did not come to the man's rescue!

It very unfortunate to hear the sad news, that this young man went thru. It is very dangerous to enter into any lake that is situated unused as there are many chances of juvenile croc species acquiring such areas for a peaceful stay. Hope he shall get better soon, but the loss of his left arm is something he would not get back. Very sad ..
