Mangaluru, Jun 18: A group of 10 persons on Sunday June 18 tried to attack a financier and HJV leader identified as Harish at Kuthar, following which a tense atmosphere prevailed at the spot.

On Sunday evening, Harish was rushing his neighbour, an elderly lady, to hospital after a coconut fell on her and caused head injuries. While he was taking a turn near the hospital, an auto rickshaw driver approaching from the opposite side cautioned him to drive properly and allegedly abused him. Harish reportedly shouted at him, noted down the auto rickshaw's registration number, and then proceeded to admit the lady to the hospital.

When he was about to leave the hospital half an hour later, around 10 persons including the auto driver waylaid his car near the gate. Just as Harish was about to get out of the car, the group came forward to attack him.

At that moment, a person named Naseer, who was recently released from jail, and his associates who were nearby intervened and tried to pacify auto driver and his group.

As news spread that Harish happens to be a leader of a pro-Hindu outfit, tension prevailed at the spot.

The Ullal police have registered a case against two persons.

DCP Shantaraju, ACP Shruthi, Ullal inspector Gopikrishna and other police personnel rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

A KSRP squad has also been deployed in the area to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.

Let us live in peace. We all are sons of one God. We may call god by differant name But there is only one god. Lets not divide ourselves by narrow minded religious differances. Lets live as one. We are all indians. Let us be good people and lets not fight. Let there be peace. Jiai Hind!!

Once my car just touched the car in front when he applied a sudden brake for some reason. I got down to check the damage and the Muslim family from that car too got down.
Within no time we were surrounded by approximately a hundred men mostly Muslims, creating a panic situation. Fortunately MLA Khadar and the local SI were passing on the same road and stopped there. Since there was no damage to the cars, SI asked them to leave.

Can you guess the area where the accident took place?

its purely cooked story and trying to justify his mistake. As per UAE law/International traffic rule if somebody hits from back without prejudice to the situation you will be at fault will get penalty

Can any one explain what may be the underlying object behind picturing everything with a communal touch...? My humble submission ..., does it meet or fulfill the underlying object..., does it unite one against the other..., where are we heading..? .... does hatredness promote unity among human beings...., who are capitalizing to meet their desires...,

Only Hindu's can protect the secular credentials of Hinduism & Hindustan..., Hindu's should not sold their ethos for political benefits of one or the other...,

    jh..., long live Bharat Matha...,

    Girisha,
Very true. Only Hindu's can protect the secular credentials of Hinduism & Hindustan.
But in whichever places where Hindus slowly fall from majority to minority, these kind of clashes erupt.
Jokatte, Krishnapura, Ullala etc are examples.

As long as these groups like HJV, RSS, ABVP, BD get support from the people there will be no peace in South Kanara, These groups should be alienated from society so that the region does not find itself in pieces but in peace
