Mangaluru, Jun 11: A dramatic car accident that seemed straight out of an action movie was captured in in a CCTV camera at Moodbidri near here on the evening of Saturday June 10.

Miraculously, the driver of the car, identified as Ronnie Mastikatte escaped with minor bruises.

The accident took place at Mastikatte under Moodbidri panchayat limits.

A speeding car went out of control and smashed into the boundary wall of Manvita apartments, and then rammed into a parked car. It then bounced off the road and overturned, falling just inches away from an auto rickshaw that was approaching from the opposite side.

The car was plying from Mastikatte towards Moodbidri.

It was also a miraculous escape for the driver of the parked car, as he had got out of his car just seconds before accident took place. And so also for the auto rickshaw occupants, as the accident would have probably been fatal if the car had fallen on the auto.

As soon the accident took place, passersby and locals rushed to the car and helped in rescuing the driver.

That's a clear case reckless driving. He cared 2 hoots for self and others. Driver must sit for few days behind the bar. Not the other BAR and definitely not driving after being to the BAR!

Police please do not let him go unpunished! Let this be a sample of Justice to others who drive recklessly in our city roads as they own these streets! Just Imagine the amount of property damaged and people could have been killed!
