Mumbai: BSKB association holds children's summer camp

Mumbai, Jun 7: BSKB Association, Sion Gokula youth wing held their annual three day long summer camp for children between the age of 7 to 15 at Ashraya shelter for senior citizens at Nerul on Friday June 2.

BSKB Association vice president Vaman Holla, secretary Anantapadmanabha Pothi, treasurer Haridas Bhat, assistant treasurer Kusum Srinivas, youth wing convener Vinodini Rao and working committee members lit the traditional lamp and set the camp in motion.

Children watched the functioning of Contec instruments factory, manufacturers of weighing machines belonging to Vaman Holla at Mahape on Saturday. Holla explained in detail the assembly and functioning of various weighing machines.

Kulkarni taught Sulabha Yoga, Sunitha Ramkumar spoke on human values, A P K Pothi taught Vedic Maths, Sahana Bharadhwaj taught Kannada, Sahana Pothi taught Bhajans, Shalini Udupa, Saroja Sathyanarayana and P C N Rao trained the children in preparation of crafts.

BSKB Association president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel presided over the concluding ceremony of the camp on Sunday evening. Youth wing president Haridas Bhat conveyed his best wishes to the children who participated in the camp. Office bearers of the association congratulated and honored the teachers and workers who helped in the success of the camp. Prema S Rao compered the programme. Vinodini Rao proposed the vote of thanks.
