Hassan: Revaluation - PU student applies for duplicate answer paper, 8 pages missing

Daijiworld Media Network- Hassan (RJP)

Hassan, May 28: A student of second PU from here applied for the copies of answer paper and found that 8 out of 26 pages are missing.

R M Shubha from BGS College passed with 550 marks in the recently announced PU results. She felt that 81 marks she got in English subject was less than she expected. She decided to apply for revaluation and paid Rs 400 for the same. After some days she received duplicate answer paper which contained only 18 pages while it was supposed to be 26 pages.

8 pages from page numbers 12 to 19 were missing.

Shubha spoke to the media to explain her ordeal on Saturday, May 27. “I applied for the duplicate answer paper hoping to get revaluation done. But I do not know how I will get justice when 8 pages are missing,” she said.

She tried to contact the PU Board through phone. But there has been no reply since two days. “What to do now? Why this treatment is given to a rural student like me?” she asked.

“Someone should tell me what to do at this stage? Board should take responsibility for the mistake and take appropriate measure to find the missing papers and help me to get the revaluation done,” she demanded.

Indeed I appreciate the courage reposed by R.M.SHUBHA to come forward in front of the media to narrate her ordeals and expose the gross negligence of the concerned department/officials.It is highly regrettable that 8 pages of her duplicate answer papers were missing. Now whom to be blamed? Government, board, concerned authorities or poor girl.Under the present circumstance who will come forward and help her to get those 8 pages of her duplicate answer papers. Now everybody, whoever responsible is start blaming each other and wash their hands.Poor girl has to suffer.Government should awake from the deep slumber and poke its nose into the matter in order to nab the culprits and award them a severe punishment and justice to be meted to this rural poor girl.It is very unfortunate.May God bless her to get justice.

It is unbelievable that 8 pages went missing from the duplicate answer paper for which R M Subha applied when she had some doubts. She should get full justice as soon as possible and also the public should know where the 8 pages go. Also, Subha should get a full refund of Rs 400 which she paid for the revaluation of her exam paper.
