Haveri, May 25: State BJP chief Yeddyurappa and Member of Parliament Shobha Karandlaje were in news for the past few days for eating breakfast together in Dalit houses. But Shobha refusing to eat with Yeddyurappa at a meeting on Wednesday May 24, has become bigger news.

The reason for refusal of Shobha to eat with Yeddyurappa was her displeasure with him.

Yeddyurappa was not happy with Shobha making a statement in Shiggavi against revenue minister Kagodu Thimmappa. Yeddyurappa told her not to make such statement again. When Shobha wanted to explain, Yeddyurappa did not give her a chance. Shobha got angered by this and refused to eat with Yeddyurappa as planned. She went directly to the meeting of the party workers.

When Yeddyurappa saw Shobha in the meeting, he asked her to come and sit next to him. He also asked why she did not eat with him. “Sir, I know where to sit and what to do. Please you sit at your place,” replied Shobha to Yeddyurappa at this time. She sat with BJP leader Sriramulu instead.

Later Shobha spoke early in the meeting and left the venue to go to Ranebennur.

Sriramulu was a mute spectator in the episode who did not utter a single word.

People were surprised to witness the rare incident of differences between Yeddyurappa and Shobha.

Earlier Sriramulu and Shobha Karandlaje faced the ire of party workers on the issue of Sangolli Rayanna Brigade.
