Bengaluru, May 22: Traffic police here on Sunday May 21, allowed an ambulance to rush towards hospital by stopping the chief minister’s convoy.

People have appreciated this gesture of traffic police as in some previous instances ambulances were stopped when CM’s convoy was on the move.

The chief minister’s convoy was going towards his official bungalow when the traffic on the same road was stopped temporarily as a normal procedure. An ambulance was seen on the road carrying a patient in serious condition. Senior police officers spoke to the escorting police vehicle and asked them to facilitate the free movement of ambulance. Within minutes, CM’s convoy was stopped and the ambulance was allowed to overtake CM’s car.

Earlier, police were criticized for not allowing ambulances to move when CM’s convoy passed in city. In turn the chief minister was criticized for this though it is claimed that he had told the police to act prudently in such situation and give top priority to emergency services.
