Mangaluru, May 14: Friends Ballalbagh Biruver Kudla, a registered social service organization, opened its Bajpe unit on Sunday, May 14. Founder president Udaya Poojary inaugurated the new branch by symbolically lighting the lamp.

“Biruver Kudla has been following the principle of one community, one religion and one God. It has always responded positively to the needs of people, “ said Udaya Poojary in his brief address.

Physically- challenged sportsman Poovappa Poojary, social worker Joachim D’Costa, young Karate achiever Nitin N Suvarna were felicitated during the occasion for their achievements.

Udaya Poojary distributed help to the needy people that included economically backward students, poor girls who are planning marriage and physically challenged people.

Udaya Poojary pledged a lorry load of sand to the poor people who are planning to build houses.

The trailer of ‘Arjun weds Amritha’ film was also released at the function.

Yadav Kotian, the president of Bajpe unit of Biruver Kudla presided over.

Abhishek Amin, Sadananda Poojary, Vidya Rakesh, Anoop Sagar, Rakesh Ballalbagh, Suraj Kalya, Shruthi Kotian, Aradhya Shetty, Sharath Kotian were present among others.

Pradeep Suvarna welcomed. Tappesh Amin proposed vote of thanks.

Nitesh Kumar Marnad compered.
