Bengaluru: CM incensed at removal of red beacon atop his car

Bengaluru, Apr 25: On Monday April 24, chief minister of the state, Siddaramaiah, expressed his resentment with his staff for removing red beacon atop his official car without bringing to his notice.

Siddaramaiah had taken part in the programme of Khadi exhibition in the city. Some curious media persons who noticed that red beacon light atop his car had gone missing, confronted him with a query as to why the light was removed. The chief minister, who it appeared, had not noticed the removal of the beacon till then, angrily questioned his personal staff and officials as to who removed the light without obtaining his prior approval.

The officials clarified that that beacon was removed as per the instructions received from the central government.

    Send all those Chaddi staff to Centre, let them work with Fekuji. They are unfit to work with our CM. Feku can't instruct constitutionally elected state government, only he can request or he should pass the law through lower & upper houses. In Karnataka we don't have Chaddi Government.

    PM should have gone further on this ..all govt cars should be painted saffron, numbers should be written in sanksrit only, AIR INDIA name should be changed to reflect more indian , railwiays should serve pure veg food only, all govt offices should serve only cow milk ...just give the list and MR YOGI will do it tomorrow

    Fake socialists are the biggest hypocrites of our times

    - They claim not religious, but do double poojas secretly
    - They say no to blind beliefs, but if a poor crow sits on the vehicle, the Pooja begins again!
    - They say all are equal and no one is VIP, but if the red beacon is removed, they get angry..
    - They taunt Modi when Naxals attack police.. They take Naxal side when army retaliates.

    Two points here. The law comes into effect only from 1st May 2017. Secondly if the beacon was to be removed at least the CM should have been informed about it. His reaction was because he came to know about it from the scribes and not from his staff.

    The army has never gotten involved with the naxals so far. It is only the paramilitary forces which are fighting the naxals.

    I don't feel bad, but feel happy that you have the power to involve the army as per your statement. I too would like the army to deal with them as the naxalites have acquired sophisticated arms which the paramilitary forces are not capable of countering. I also suspect that the naxals are trained by a foreign anti India power in warfare. However, the army is reluctant to get involved get dragged into a domestic insurgency. But with the killings going on unabated, I believe that the army has to come in at the earliest and finish this menace once and for all.

    Including you every one was demanding outburst of VVIP culture. No party leaders want to remove VVIP culture, but people from all party want it badly, and today u r supporting Siddu in this move?
    Instead if he does with out notice, i would have support him and praise him.

    It is an obligation for a Chief Minister to have a red beacon atop his car irrespective of which party he/she belongs to. Other ministers need not use a red beacon.
