Reports of Kamal Nath joining BJP rumours, says Congress

New Delhi, Apr 22 (IANS): The Congress on Friday rubbished speculations that its senior leader Kamal Nath could join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying the BJP is running a campaign to malign Congress leaders.

"BJP is running a malicious ugly whisper campaign to malign Congress party's senior most leaders. Perhaps they forget that Kamal Nath is not only the senior most parliamentarian and not only one of the most experienced leaders of the party but has been the architect of re-crafting the strategy and narrative of the Congress party through challenging times," said party's spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala.

"Be it from 1977 to 1980 or post 1989 to 2004, and then as part of the government, he continues to serve proudly as a worker, leader and as general secretary of the party.

"We reject completely any such malicious and negative insinuations that the BJP is spreading. Instead of spreading such canards, BJP should answer to the people of Delhi about corruption in the three MCDs over last 10 years," he added.

"In today's challenging times, those friends who have left the party, can find the best place in BJP, for BJP is very prone to attracting defectors nowadays who are bereft of any ideology, direction or commitment to their own party, which is like the second mother to any political person," Surjewala added.

We saw the result when S M Krishna left Congress and joined BJP. Congress won with a thumping majority in Nanjangud and Gundulupet. But i dont want to compare Kamalnath with S M Krishna. Kamalnath is a respectable and tall leader in the Congress. Congress has two able leaders in Madhya Pradesh-Mr Madhav Rao Scindia and Mr Kamalnath. Mr Scindia being young and Charismatic has all chance to be the CM of Madhya Pradesh in the next election as BJP is filled with scams under Shivaraj Chauhan. Who can forget hundreds of Murders committed under BJP Raj in the name of Vyapam Scam. BJP Bhakts of Shivaraj are working as ISI agents of Pakistan and was exposed recently. Congress is the only option in Madhya Pradesh, Aware of the fact that Congress is rising in Karnataka Gujrath and MadhyaPradesh, BJP has to do something as they do not have good leaders in the Party.
We saw in Uttar Pradesh that after getting good majority, BJP could not find a good CM Candidate. The worst candidate got elected as CM. Only Congress has good and able candidates who can lead India.
