Bengaluru: S M Krishna puts off joining BJP as his sister passes away

Daijiworld Media Network-Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Mar 15: Former chief minister S M Krishna has put off his programme of joining the BJP following the death of his sister.

S M Krishna, also a former union minister, had quit the Congress on January 28 and planned to join BJP on March 15 in New Delhi in the presence of BJP chief Amit Shah. He had already reached New Delhi on Tuesday to participate in the scheduled programme.

But Krishna received a message on Tuesday night that his sister Sunitha passed away. Then he decided to return to Bengaluru immediately.

Sources said that Krishna may join BJP after a week.

Krishna was supposed to hold some consultations with Amit Shah on Tuesday. But the meeting could not take place since Shah had to attend Manohar Parrikar’s swearing-in ceremony in Goa.

Even the scheduled programme on Wednesday was not certain as Shah is scheduled to attend the BJP government’s installation programme in Manipur. Meanwhile BJP Karnataka announced on Tuesday that Krishna would join the party either on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning depending upon Shah’s availability.

During this time Krishna’s sister passed away prompting him to return to Bengaluru. The 84 years old veteran had 50 years association with Congress.

He should have spent his remaining few years life peacefully by retiring from politics rather than switching sides at 84. After all what he is going to do at this age in dirty politics.

With no reference to any individual or political party isn't it time to introduce a law stipulating a retirement age for opticians. whatever age it may be 60, 65 or 70. My personal opinion is the maximum age for any politician should not be more than 70 years.

No morality in Politics. The greed of power is the ultimate moto for all politicians. They are all same. They least care for the people of the country, they are for themselves. All they do is fool the voters.

Who wants your wishes ? did any body asked you to wish him all the best ? he was in a communal party for the last 50 years who looted India for almost 60 years. Now he took a good decision to Join BJP which is a only one party who really thinks about the development of India with out any selfishness and minority appeasement.

So BJP doesn't have a problem to accept a person who was part of a party which has looted the country for 60 years according to your statement. Since he was holding top position under congress government (CM of Karnataka, Minister of External affairs in the Union Government, Governor of Maharastra to name a few) then he too is part and responsible for all that loot being in that top position

Now a days changing party is just like remove old shawl and wear new party shawl. no politician is loyal to Party. self benifit is more important. Be it Siddarammayya or SM Krishna, JDS ideology is not matching with Congress ideology, Congress Ideology is not matching to BJPs.

Actress Ramya is hard core oppooser of RSS and BJP, now she is waitng out side BJP office.

Kagodu Thimmappa was slamming Siddrammayya right and Left, now he is pouring flower on him,
Srinivas Prasad blamed BJP in last assembly election, now he is BJP candidate and blaming Congress.
Keshav moorthy was JDS candidate now congress candidate
JDs blaming congress every where, in By election they are supporting congress.

Today congress saying Modi is like Hitler, they forgot that same congress requested Modi to Join Congress in 90's.

Congress saying if u lost more than 1 time, no seat in next election. Rahul Gandhi in VP seat despite many loose.
Poojary slams Siddarammayya, and support high command who appointed Siddarammayya.

Dewegowda blames congress as family Party, but whole of his family is in same party with many post.

JP Hegde was beliving in Congress Ideology and blamed BJP as communal Party, but today he is inside and blaming congress.

funny thing is yesturday Mr. Hardik Patel was asking BJP for loan wavier of Farmers. till now he was in deep sleep? or waiting for election result?
Indians are crushed between Caste politics, Reservation, Anti national Elements and became a toys.

I just cannot imagine how people can be so ungrateful. Krishna has been given all the plum posts by the Congress. He was the CM of Karnataka and the Foreign Minister in the Union government and has enjoyed the loaves and fishes of office. I don't know what his grievance is but whatever it is, at this age when he has one foot in the grave, he could have certainly done without all this. At least the people would have remembered him but now the people would remember him as the greatest of all traitors. There is a limit to one's greed. And what can he expect from the BJP? They will use him as toilet paper. Use and throw.

This is sad news. The person working in congress and awarded prestigious position in congress and getting the best of best now he thought to enter bjp certainly we have to drop of tear to this earth.During this age of 86 is really sad.Such type of ungrateful politican in any party should not be accepted. At this age he should retire gracefully and stay at home and allow the youngsters to come to politics and share their ideas.Mr.Krishna look at the portrait of great Indira Gandhi and you will feel I have cheated congress.
