Mumbai: 30,000 guests, drones and jets at BJP leader's son's lavish wedding

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai (SP)

Mumbai, Mar 4: A marriage that was held at Aurangabad reminded the onlookers of the grand weddings of the daughters of union minister Nitin Gadkari and mining baron Janardhana Reddy.

The marriage of Santosh, son of Maharashtra BJP state president, Raosaheb Danve, at Jambinda Estate, Aurangabad, brought before the eyes of participants the grand, dreamy sets of mythological films. Santosh is also a MLA representing Bhokardan assembly constituency.

Video wedding card, grand palace set reflecting the Medival period created by a team of art directors, over 30,000 guests, and participation of Maharashtra chief minister and the entire team of his ministry, tight police security, close surveillance on the proceedings through drones etc were some of the samples of the grandeur on display at this wedding ceremony.

The food items offered at the wedding contained anything and everything from all the main cuisine types of India. Sources said that the menu also had some Chinese dishes.

Santosh married Renu, daughter of well-known Marathi music director, Rajesh Sarkate. Before his marriage, Santosh had sent marriage invitation containing video clipping showing him in romantic act with his bride, dancing to the rune of popular "love me again' song.

Ten private jets had been booked for VVIPs attending this marriage. Some sources had guessed that Gali Janardhana Reddy would have spent nearly Rs 500 crore for his daughter's wedding performed some months back at Palace Grounds Bengaluru. Even the income tax department had looked into this extravagance. So far, the money spent on the current marriage could not be properly estimated.

However, some social workers have criticized the wasteful expenditure made for this marriage. They point out that BJP government is backing a bill introduced in the Lok Sabha in which maximum limit of five lac rupees has been proposed to be fixed for marriages. Social worker, Anjali Damania, who accused BJP leaders of speaking of bringing down marriage expenses on one hand and doing exactly the opposite on the other. She criticized BJP leaders for spending crores of rupees for lavish weddings, and wanted to know the sources of funds. Many have come down heavily on Santosh, who represents Marathwada region which has been reeling under severe drought since the last two years, of marrying at such a grand and elaborate function.

Imagine Gali Janardhana Reddy was a minister or ruling party. No tax, is the ED or IT blind. BJP bahakts open your eyes and see what the Govt is doing in Maharashtra when there are so many farmers dying because of the banks. Fools Mumbaikars and Maharashtrians voting for this BJP which is only fooling the public openly.

Whilst opposing such pomp and show, still I look at it the other way. If money is not spent by these rich how poor people will get employment and Rozi Roti ? There might be crores of rupees spent on decoration, food, transport, stationary, printing, cloth, jewelry, temporary installations. All these are labour extensive jobs. Let the rich spend and poor eat.
I know this is still arguable, but true as hoarded money comes out.....
Word of caution. Its not crime to be rich ,but how wealth is amassed and accounted do matter. Can we expect NaMo to look at it ?

BJP is a party of looters / decoits / murderers / lafangas and this is an example for it. Gadkari and Reddy have looted crorres of rupees. Demonetisation has no effect on them coz they had already exchanged the old currency sicne they got the information in advance. These [people are day time robbers. Our PM is now silent + dumb + blind. He will not utter a single world on this lavish wedding coz these two big robbers are his chelas.

Dear Kumara, I did not say that Congress is a pious party. There is no saint in politics. People are joining politics only to fill their own pocket and none is there to serve public. However, members of BJP have looted wealth of India within 3.5 years more than what congress members did since Independence.

As per Indian Government rule expenditure above 5,00,000/-, they have to pay tax to the Government. This MLA spent only RS. 30000/- for 30000 guests. Remaining expenditure by gift from party workers.

Beware BJP are law makers for others and not law followers. Laws are only for anti national Indians. Clean chit is already printed and signed from highest authority and no court will register any sort of case against BJP atleast till 2019. So is Gadkari's son, so is Janardhan Reddy's daughter, so is Raosaheb' daughter and so on.
