"At present, the work load is a bit high as there there is 60% of staff deficiency in Mangaluru. The number of prosecutions initiated is eight times higher, as compared to last year. There are 150 cases pending, for which we have demanded a special court for speedy disposal of the cases," he added.

After demonetization drive, there has been lot of raids and catching unaccounted assets,,cash and jeweleries etc., but only on non BJP parties. Not a single case I tread in news paper relating to BJP persons. Whether black money is only with non BJPians and not at all with Bijians or theu saints? This is nothing but abuse of power which is not good for those who are fighting corruption and will have far reaching effect in the long run.

Good move to unearth the unaccounted money. But failed to understand on what basis raid is conducted. It should not be partial. It should not be like this also, like if congress comes to power in the center next time, again 1 lakh crores unearthed from the rival political party members and their party sponsors .

Dear Sir.. we appreciate your efforts and findings. You have listed Real Estate owners, trusts etc.. Do you have the guts to probe with traders who still continue to do business without billing? Please eye on these big tycoons who show themselves as small people and have acquired big properties and wealth in other forms. Just see the entire complex located at market Road and close by lanes dominated by these traders who freely trade without any check points.

    Dear Rego,
if we can force the traders into doing business through banking channels, the escape route for the traders will considerably decrease. The traders cannot explain credit into their bank accounts if they do not issue bills. the IT dept can get it taxed as unexplained credits. besides in the current taxing structure, there is a disconnect between dept of direct taxes & indirect taxes. However, in the GST scenerio most of these problems will be adressed.
