The youth of today are highly intelligent, ambitious, hard working and focussed . Youth Conventions, such as these are the right way to provide them with a strong moral character as per the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ, and to channel all their strengths towards not only building their careers, but also towards nation-building.

Wishing the 10th National Youth Convention all success.

Tenth National Youth Convention held at Vamanjoor brings added prominence to St. Joseph's Engineering College which has been a "pet project" of Mangalore Diocese. Hundreds of young men and women will blossom from thus Institution carrying with them some of the best Engineering credentials not only to uplift their own career prospects but also contribute for the ever-growing technological innovation of the Nation. We visited St. Joseph's Engineering complex while it was under construction under the able leadership of Monsgr. Fred Pereira, the Vicar General then of Mangalore Diocese and also Fr. Valerian D'Souza , the Director of the Institution. We even initiated the establishment of a Toastmasters Club at Vamanjoor so that many of the newly graduating Engineers also display their leadership skills in order to render the best possible guidance to the new generation. We are certainly thrilled to read about the Youth Movement thru Conventions such as this at Vamanjoor, and we wish best of success to St. Joseph's Engineering College in all their future pursuits in the intellectual world.
