Mumbai: Kannadiga Kalavidara Parishat celebrates tenth anniversary

Mumbai, Jan 9: Kannada Kalavidara Parishat established after realizing the need of unity among Kannada artistes ten years ago, held their preliminary meeting at Billava Bhavan, Santacruz east on Saturday January 7 to celebrate their tenth anniversary.

“The organization which works for the welfare of artistes is making the land proud. Let us unite and celebrate the tenth anniversary and fulfill the aim of the organization,” said celebrations committee president Kachuru Nageshwara temple Barkur managing trustee Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary.

K K Shetty, Karnuru Mohan Rai, Padmabha Sasihitlu, Premanatha Suvarna, Sumangala Shetty, Vijayalaxmi Poojary, Tara R Bangera, Thonse Sanjiva Poojary, Raviraj Kalyanpur, Chandravathi Devadiga, S Daya, Ganesh Ermal, Jayakara D Poojary, Ganesh Kumar, Suhani Shetty, Sannidhi Shetty, Mundkooru Premanath, Meenakshi R Sriyan and other artistes conveyed their suggestions.

It was decided to celebrate the tenth anniversary in a meaningful way by way of a cultural programme. Honorary chief secretary Navunda Raju Sriyan poposed the vote of thanks.
