Doha: KSQ conducts fifth youth leadership programme

Doha, Jan 2: Karnataka Sangha Qatar, a frontline community aegis for ICC conducted its fifth youth leadership programme (YLP) successfully from December 21 to 30. The eight days programme concluded in a ‘Show to skill’ session on Friday at 3.30 pm at Bengaluru Hall. ICBF president Devis Edukulathur graced the valedictory function as chief guest. KSQ acting president, Venkat Rao and chairman of the advisory board, Deepak Shetty were escorted to the stage. General secretary Sandesh Anand, vice president Subramanya Hebbagelu and children activity secretary Savious Crasta escorted VTM Virendranath to the stage.

Savious Crasta read out a brief report on the youth leadership programme's eight day session. Speaking on the occasion VTM Virendranath urged the children to develop their speaking skills and to employ whatever they learn from the sessions. DTM Nirmala Raghuraman delivered a motivational speech to the children.

Chief guest Devis Edukulathur encouraged the children to become good citizens and proud leaders of the society. Deepak Shetty addressed the gathering. KSQ honoured the Toastmasters Anil Prakash, TM Grahambhel, TM Subramanya, VTM Virendranath, DTM Nirmala Raghuraman on the occasion for conducting sessions for the children during the programme days. Certificates were presented to the participating students. Savious carried out the valedictory function, Swaroop compered the stage programme and Sandesh Anand delivered the vote of thanks.

Before the stage programme, a practical session was carried out by the participating students. 22 enrolled students took active part in the speech session, table topics and evaluation session. Youth leader Priya Noronha delivered the motivational speech which inspired the gathering. Along with the participating students, parents were present and well appreciated the programme.

Doha’s famous Toast Masters Bhullar Singh, Virendranath, Girish Jain, Rajeshwar Rao, Nirmala Raghuraman, Raghavan, Venkateshan held sessions on various topics namely parliament, organising speech, speech delivery, public speaking, gesture, listening and vocabulary. Galfar Toast Masters Club members TM Anil Prakash, TM Grahambhel and TM Subramanya coordinated the sessions.
