Mangaluru: Capuchin Friars’ Athma Jyothi Ashram opened at Kadri

Mangaluru, Jul 22: Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, bishop of Mangaluru inaugurated the 'Athma Jyothi Ashram’ run by Capuchin Friars at D'Souza lane, Kadri here on Friday, July 22.

Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza blessed the new Ashram by lighting the lamp. A prayer service followed thereafter.

Fr Cyprian Peter D'Souza, the superior of Athma Jyothi Ashram welcomed the gathering and thanked all the donors and supporters for their generosity.

Fr Dolphy Joseph Pais the provincial minister of Capuchins in Karnataka province, J R Lobo the MLA from Mangaluru South, Fr Paul Melwyn D’Souza the superior of St Anne's Friary, Dora Rodrigues the donor of the premises, Fr Wilson D'Souza the parish priest of Bejai church were present among others.

    We are extremely happy for the new ashram at Kadri,Mangalore called as 'Athma Jyothi Ashram' run by Capuchin Friars priests.

    We wish all the best to Fr. Cyprian, Fr.Dolphy and all priests who have toiled day and night, for this cause.

    Priest call is a vocation, not profession. Let Jesus Christ & his teachings be the CENTRE of this Ashram.

    Hearty congratulations to Rev Fr Dolphy Pais and the the Capuchin fathers for the new friary at Kadri, Mangalore. Glad to note Fr Cyprian is the new superior of this community. I am sure that it will be a place for all those who seek God's mercy, healing and wholeness.

    It is true that charity is starting from home, today our brothers and sisters donated their property of a prime location to our saviour Christ for the welfare of abandoned ones. It is really a sacrifice from the property owners to give such valuable to God. I am always love to kiss the hand of our priest who daily holding Christ body in the celebration of Eucharist, dear fathers your burning love of God and great charity to our fellow creatures will always made you all worthy, may Christ bless you and those who made this project successful

    If we all think that each day that we are near to death and we are going to see almighty God and must live a life which God want us to live, then the whole world will be in peace. Let us support the help not the religion, let us give food for hungry, shelter, cloth with love understanding the real meaning of life. Your faith should not be obstacle to do good job.
