Mangalore, Oct 7: Well known Mangalorean & former Finance Controller of Galadari Bros, Dinakar Attavar and his illustrious wife Jaishree were offered a warm farewell reception by UAE Devadiga Forum on 4th Oct 2007 at Lotus Hotel Dubai.

The couple who lived in Dubai for 23 years will be resettling in their favorite city Mumbai.

Dinakar, a 1st Rank holder in B.Com (1967) is an alumnus of Govt. College Mangalore. Furthering his pursuit for excellence, he secured his distinction by claiming 2nd Rank in Charted Accountancy (1971) which is till regarded as the best.

These excellent academic qualifications catapulted him to high profile professional vocation in Mumbai where he served for 11 years in Ms A.F.Ferguson & Co & Tata Consultancy services and as independent practitioner. Later he was invited by leading business group of Dubai Galadari Bros to join them to strengthen their corporate financial management (1984). And after two decade of excellent professional career where in he reshaped the fortune of this business major, he quietly took voluntary break with a plan to start his Financial Consultancy Services in Mumbai.

For those who are involved in community service in Dubai, a pleasant mannered charming lady with husky voice is no stranger. Over the last two decade Mrs. Jaishree Dinakar has carved a niche in social circle with her voice, poise and leadership. As Secretary Ladies wing Karnataka Sangha, Treasurer KT Ladies Forum and Treasurer Indian Ladies Association (ILA) she has done her best to be remembered for long down the memory lane.

Mrs & Mr.Dinakar have not only together contributed to the growth of Karnataka Sangha Dubai but also were one of the founders of Devadiga Forum, UAE (1992). Dinakar Attavar has also served as the Vice-Chairman Building Committee, Devadiga Sangha Mumbai and was honoured during Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.

In this well attended farewell function, many members lauded their support to the community & wished Dinakar family all the success & good health in years to come.

The community elders presented the couple a Memento as a token of love & respect of all the members who attended this reception.

Dinakar Attavar stressed the need and importance of education in upbringing of society and stressed the need of savings by subtly conveying ‘money matters’ in deriving happiness of life. While concluding, the loved and respected Dinakars very movingly thanked everyone and requested to pardon them if unknowingly they have hurt any one’s feeling during their stay in the Emirates.

Shekar Moily, Nithyanand Beskoor & Ramesh Devadiga organized this touchy, sentimental and warm get-together. They were well assisted by Mohan Maroly and Rajan Shriyan and Yashoda Mohandas.

The function started with invocation by Ashwini Sanjay, while Harish Sherigar & Pramod Kumar entertained with all exuberance. Charisma Sanjay organized games for children.

Shekar Moliy welcomed and proposed vote of Thanks.

Thanks to Shekhar, Nithyanand, Ramesh and volunteers of the Devadiga community who organised such an farewell party for Dinakars on 4th at the Lotus Hotel. Good party considering the fact it was Ramadaan time. Gave most of us an opportunity to thank them for whatever help and assistance received by them. Most of us had a chance to work in Gulf because of them! For me they were the ones who introduced me to Karnataka Sangha, Dubai where I spent my valuable ten years. I had nice time in the committee with BG, Padmakka and Pommiakka leading the helm of affairs. Of course, BG did have a separate role play during my Sangha tenure. For Devadiga parties initially, it was their house along with BG, Harishandra and Narayan. Later when the strength grew we had to move to hotels. I would always miss them, especially Pommiakka for all the love and care she had for all of us. I on behalf of our entire comminity in Dubai wish them a happy future ahead in their favourite city Mumbai. THANKS DAIJIWORLD for all the support for community activities
