Udupi, Aug 9: The much-awaited Konkani album 'Tujem Rupnnem' by 3 Souzas of 'Tuje Charanni' fame, is ready to be released on August 15. This being their second album, 'Tujem Rupnnem' is a soul stirring, romantic album with 12 foot-tapping songs and a remix number, all of which will rule the hearts of Konkani music lovers.
The 3 Souzas are poets, song writers and composers. They are Marian Pernal, Anil Pernal and Wilfred R Pangla. While Anil Pernal and Wilfred R Pangla have the credentials of publishing two poetry books each, Marian has written and composed songs for events and has rendered his unique voice to some of the albums. It is worth mentioning here that Marian was the initiator who conceived, visualized and generously sponsored the First Global Music Awards through Mandd Sobhann in 2009, and the event is held by Mandd Sobhann every year since its inception.
The 3 Souzas first struck a chord with music lovers in 2012 through their maiden album 'Tuje Charanni'. Though a devotional album, it was equally liked and appreciated by the clergy and the laymen alike. The album's popularity was such that the hymns have been sung in some of the churches across the dioceses of Mangaluru and Udupi as well as in some of the Gulf countries. The success of 'Tuje Charanni' was evident when it got nominated in one of the categories for the Global Music Awards in 2013.
'Tujem Rupnnem' album consists of 12 melodious songs with rich poetic lyrics touching the subjects of love, romance and social themes. One of the highlights of the album is an item song 'Bomblivali', which will surely be enjoyed by youngsters. Remix of this song would add punch to DJs list of dance songs. The songs of the album are carefully selected to satisfy the taste of listeners of all genres.
The music of this album has been composed by Marian Pernal and arranged by the veteran musician Roshan D'Souza, Anjelore. It has been recorded at Sandesha Digitals by 'Sangeeth Guru' Joel Pereira, and mixing and mastering has been done by the renowned Nitin Koottungal.
The most popular voices of Konkani music like Dr Prashanth Raj, Prakash Bajpe, Mohammed Iqbal, Rony Crasta and Zeena Pereira have rendered their voices, and newcomers Carol Danthy and Winona Cardoza have brought freshness to the album. Marian Pernal has excelled in the rendition of his song and budding child singer Swasthika Amin from Barkur has captivating innocence in her singing.
The album also has young heartthrobs Ashwin D'Costa of 'Soad-2015' fame and Prajoth D'Sa who surely would raise the heartbeats of the listeners with their mellifluous voices. An added attraction to this album is the 'Bomblivali' Mashup remix by the famous duo DJ Danny and DJ Rosh, who have brought a slice of Bollywood flavour to the album. All the singers as well as the entire production team have given their best to this album.
'Tujem Rupnnem' will be globally released during a literary event by Kittall.com on August 15 at the Bishop's House in Udupi in the presence of eminent figures of Konkani music and literary world.
