Journalist killed in Pakistan

Islamabad, June 28 (IANS): Unidentified gunmen on Sunday shot dead a journalist in Pakistan's Balochistan province, police said.

Zafarullah Jatak was sleeping when the gunmen stormed into his house in Jaffarabad district early morning and fired at him, Xinhua news agency reported.

Jatak was a correspondent of Urdu-language daily "Intekhab."

Police said they are investigating the murder.

Pakistan has been the most dangerous country in the world to work in for journalists, with 14 journalists killed in 2014, the International Federation of Journalists said in January.
