I don't think Labour department has done any good job. They have just taken the employment of the children and made them to fonder for themselves...!!!???? If there is a plan for educating these children free of cost would have been better. Without having any program for securing the future of the children, these kind of departments are not to be given such responsibilities....!!!!???? Have they done anything good to the children...!!!?????

I wonder- why Labour department is taking much of trouble, actually whether they are enitiating any action plan to lift these type of child labour/or eradicate in all the areas including City & rural areas. We can see in small several sector etc.,... also indicaing the labour age above 18years,and deduct PF,amount and only obaining ESI appliction signed and after their work -not provinding any benefit to the poor inncoent labour. Hope labour dept., can try to raid these sectors.

Raid the houses, there are still more kids... People get children from specially north of Karnataka and they lie about their ages when they work, There should be some some sort of proof with employers that they are above 18 or so.

    Jossey Saldanha,
Can you please explain in which way you in Which way you prevent this will not happen in Karnataka or even in India. We need to speak in one voice and fair with these issues. Every household who comes to know that the children are employed in their neighbourhood should inform the police as well as child welfare organizations and ensure strict action should be taken against them.

Here we do need the moral police to act and thrash the people who do so and take away the innocent children's childhood for their benefit.
