Konkani Natak Sabha hosts fancy dress contest

Mangalore, Aug 20: The 27th inter parish fancy dress competition was organized for the parishioners of different parishes of Mangalore Diocese by the Konkani Natak Sabha® Mangalore in the Don Bosco Hall here on Sunday August 18.

Before commencing the competition Konkani Natak Sabha condone the sad demise of joint secretary Lynette P Kamath.

The competition was held in two categories i.e. below 15 years and above 15 years in ladies solo, gents solo, ladies duet, gents duet, mixed group. 140 participants in 56 entries from 9 parishes took part in the competition.

In the below 15 years category Bondel Parish bagged first place, Angelore Parish stood second place and Cordel Parish third place. In the above 15 years category Angelore Parish bagged first place, Bondel Parish stood second place and Bajpe Parish third place.

Eddie Sequeira from Bendore, Diana Lobo from Bajal and Maizy D’Souza from Bejai were the judges for the competitions.

President Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza (capuchin) welcomed the gathering. Convenor Joseph Nazareth introduced the judges and convenor Jery Pinto announced the results and proposed vote of thanks. Dolphy Saldanha compered the propgramme.
