Dubai: Yakshamitraru to mark decennial with Yakshagana show

Dubai, Jun 5: A grand treat awaits Yakshagana fans in the UAE. Yakshamitraru, Dubai, on the occasion of its decennical celebrations, will host a Yakshagana show on Friday June 14.

The show will be held at 4 pm at Sheikh Rashid auditorium, Indian High School, Dubai.

The Yakshagana performance will be presented by Kateel Kshetra Mahathme troupe.

Purushotham Poonja, Bottikere, Patla Sathish Shetty, Mohan Shettigar, P V Paramesh, Deepak Rao Pejawar, Gangadhar Shettigar and Balakrishna Gowda are part of the troupe.

The entry ticket per head is priced at Dhs 30.

    UAE people are very lucky to enjoy these kind of YAKSHAGANA Play. In the previous plays the team really showed the class. A lot of Hard work is to put in to stage the Yakshagana specially with the practice, dress and the make up. May god bless the team and the sponsors who encourage these kind of traditional tulunada AATA to be staged in Desert country like UAE.
