Udupi: Horekanike procession marks Kunjarugiri Temple Brahmakalashotsava

Udupi, Feb 18: The Shilamaya Garbagudi, Theertha Mantapa, Suttu Pawli, and a golden Mantappa were offered to the famous Kunjarugiri Shree Durga Devi Temple, on the occasion of its Brahmakalashotsava by the devotees of 16 Maagani in the presence of Admar Math Shree Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji in a grand Horkanike procession.

Thousands of devotees participated in the procession which was taken across Katpady  through Kurkalu – Subhash Nagar. Devotees came in large number of vehicles and offered the Horekanike. The procession accompanied by tableaux, Chende, Taala, Nasik band, Vaadya, bands along with various teams created a festive atmosphere.

Brahmakalashotsava will be held at Shree Kunjaramma Sanidhya on February 22. Horekanike was offered for the religious programme.
