Just imagine what the higher ups might be earning!!!All this easy corrupt money sucked both from the rich and poor is the reason for the unprecedented rise in real estate prices and ever increasing inflation!! It is not only those in positions of power/decision making/bureaucratic who resort to making easy money, but even so called noble professions like doctors have started literally plundering the innocent/naive patients to support their swanky lifestyle and greed to accumulate!!! Pathetic state of affairs!! In this crossfire of blatant corruption and looting and artificial escalation of prices, it is the funeral of the common law abiding citizen of this country!!! This easy money coming into the system is one of the main cause of increase in all sorts of criminal activity!!

So in a way, corruption is giving immense motivation for criminal activity, which is very dangerous!!!

When Lokayukta conducts a raid and siezed the dispropotionate assets, subsequent raid should be done by the Central Income Tax authorities for possible tax evasion.

    Addition to my earlier post:

Three days ago my son met with an accident in Mangalore city. He was rushed to a pvt. hospital here for emergent treatment !! He had an head injury and bruises overall. He was normal, speaking, and fully oriented!! A C-spine xray along with a CT scan was done to rule out spinal or intracranial injuries!! All was found to be normal!! The doc incharge sutured his external head injury but advised staying admitted for a couple of days for observation!! At the end of the third day, just imagine just to suture a pure head injury with seven stitches the doc charges Rs 4850 and another Rs 1750 as operation theater charges and another 2500 as neurologist consulting charges and another 2500 as radiologist charges over and above the CT scan charges, and many more..... giving a total bill for a simple head injury suturing with a 3 day stay..........a royal 26200????? What is this going on in the name of medical care, nothing short of looting/robbing/plundering the gullible/poor wearing white clothes and stethoscopes!!!!!!!!

In the earlier years it was the assistant town planning officials, the road contractors and the health department that were most corrupt department in Mangalore City Corporation. Now with strict rules, the ATPOs have reformed and due to so many loop holes, the health department is still not reformed.
Good work by Lokayukta and it is better late than never.

I think, this kind of raids or for that matter any kind of raids on the premises of Politicians\ministers\MLA\corporators\police etc etc is taken by them as a prestige and not a shameful situation.
They become more famous from these raids as the end results, even when found out they are in the wrong, no action taken against them, no punishment meted out to them.
So many, fm CM to corporators either were accused for corruption and caught or amassing huge wealth in the shortest of time during their tenure in the Government.
As such, if this raid has taken place, is it just for the sake of raiding, to show Lokayukta doing its job?
I hope some results, like jailing the top officials for corruption\land grabbing etc. is done by the present Lokayukta in the shortest possible time.

Before raid Lokayukta have to bring more proof / evidence about corruption or illegal proprieties.

Because many case lokayukta failed to produce evidence in court.
and culprit will come out within 24 hours.

    lokayukta have work like CBI,
for example Reddy brothers. CBI did one of best job. (if CBI don’t work, I think one brother PM and another brother is president of India.

there are many well educated IPS officer working under uneducated and corrupt officer and politicians hand.

Because lokayukta lack of power and failed to produce evidence in right time.
