Kundapur: Parents Day Celebrated at St Pius X English Medium High School

Kundapur, Dec 7: St Pius X English Medium High School, Hanglur celebrated the school 'Parents Day' recently, in a unique way, with great joy and fervour. 

The  chief guest Justice N Santosh Hegde, former Lokayukta of Karnataka inaugurated the celebration  along with the  guests, Gopal Shetty, BE  Kundapur; Fr John Walter Mendonca the Parish Priest  of St Pius X Church, Piusnagar;  Philip Fernandes; Leena D’Souza, Manju Billava and  Monthu Fernandes , the correspondent of the school Sr Lorenza and headmistress Dr Sr Sylvina Vas.

A special address  on ‘Positive Parenting ‘ was the main highlight of the programme. Justice N Santhosh Hegde interacted  with students and parents. 

Addressing the parents on “ Positive Parenting ”, Justice Santosh Hegde exhorted the parents to bring up their children with true values of life. "Life is worth when we have values like honesty, discipline, hard work,  and self satisfaction. Live life as true human being and enjoy inner satisfaction and  joy", he added.

During the interaction with the parents and students Justice Santosh Hegde with his touching life experiences inspired to live an honest life with simplicity and generosity. Answering a question posed by the parent on corruption, Justice Santosh Hegde said that it is the duty of every citizen of the country to control corruption.

He encouraged the parents to work hard and remain satisfied with whatever one earns and to never get into the clutches of corruption. The cultural programme, blend with creativity and variety was performed by our students expressing  their gratitude and best wishes to the parents.  

The  programme also  carried good messages like, “ Gratitude is the best attitude,”  “ Let us shoot out
corruption, ” ;“  Save our Planet, Save life”  and “ Mera Bharat Mahan. “   creating an awareness on the needs of today’s society .

The students were awarded for their academics, sports and cultural achievements.
