Mangalore: Two Arrested for Stolen Copper Strips

Mangalore, Nov 7: Police have arrested two people in connection to the copper strips stolen from the premises of Shivdeep Apartments near Shivbagh on November 1.

The police arrested Vishwanath Devadiga (23) from Gurpur and Abhishek (19) from Addur near Kadri Park Tuesday November 6.

On November 1, a case was registered at Kadri police station for the theft of 44 copper strips. Police on Tuesday arrested two people who were walking around suspiciously.

They were taken into custody and on interrogation admitted to the crime. They stated that the stolen copper was hidden nearby.

Police recovered the copper strips worth Rs 35,000 from them and the arrested were produced before court.

Raghav Padil, Kadri inspector, Siddeshwar Bajanthri, sub inspector, ASI Sukumar, Vinay, Sudhir Shetty and Prakash Nayak were part of the investigation.
