Kundapur: Blood Donation Camp Organized in Town

Kundapur, Sep 27:  “Although some people are able to donate blood, due to their deficient in knowledge they do not actively participate in blood donation. An individual can donate blood twice or thrice a year. But it is necessary to create awareness among the people of rural areas” urged Taluk panchayath president Shankar Shetty Belladi.

He opined his views at the inaugural of a  blood donation camp, held in Kundapur Ambedkar Convention hall, organized by Samridhi Jeevan Foundation, Government Doctors Association Udupi District and District Blood Bank Division on Wednesday.

He also said, “Samridhi Jeevan Foundation created awareness throughout the country by organizing blood donation camps”.

Town muncipal president Mohandas Shenoy, Taluk health officer Dr Ram Rao,  president of District Government Doctors Association Nagesh Gundma, Keduru Spoorty Dhama’s Keshava Koteshwara, Dr Girish from Megan Hospital, Shimoga were present.
