Udupi: Manipal University's 'Global Village 2012' Comes to Picture Perfect End

Manipal, Aug 8: The last day of Global Village ended with a big success. It was held in Department of Commerce on 7th August, 2012 from 5:30 pm onwards.

Global Village was a two day event held by AIESEC Manipal University. It is a cultural extravaganza that brings all the interns, who have come down for respective projects, to interact with the students. The countries present were Vietnam, Egypt, Afghanistan, Czech Republic, Poland and Portugal. First the students got an opportunity to interact with the interns in their respective stalls where they had country postcards, merchandise, food, etc.







This was followed by cultural performances and presentations done for the students in the auditorium for the students. The performances were greatly enjoyed by everyone and they got a chance to experience the exquisite culture of every country. In the middle of the performances there was many jive sessions which kept the atmosphere charged with energy.

The theme of Global Village 2012 was to bring the entire world on one palette. In this two day event 13 countries with over 30 interns were able to showcase the colours of their countries to us. By the end of the event our aim was to mix all the beautiful shades of the world and create an impact among the students was achieved because Global Village 2012 signed of as magnificent painting.
