Udupi: ‘Katari Veera’ Opposed in Temple Town

Udupi, May 12: The movie ‘Katari Veera’ received opposition in Udupi with as many as 50 activists of pro-Hindu organization expressing their disappointment and alleging the movie to hurt Hindu sentiments.

The movie was supposed to be screened in Geethanjali theatre here and the manager resorted to give back the ticket amount collected from the movie viewers.

Shiroor Mutt Pontiff Laxmivaratheertha Swamiji also participated in the protest. Protesters tore the banners of the movie posted in various places in the city.
 
Udupi circle inspector Girish, traffic SI Amanulla, town police SI Madhu, SI Sampath Kumar were present.
