Mangalore, Apr 19: 'Thembe Thembe', the much awaited Konkani music album has been released here. The album was already released in UK, Australia and the Middle East. 'Thembe Thembe' is the fourth music album by Kevin Misquith. The last album released was 'Hee Jeen' in 2008.

The lyrics have been penned by writers including Kendra Sahitya Akademi award winner Melvyn Rodrigues, Kishoo Barkur, Sanjay Borkar, HM Pernal, Wilson Kateel, Clement Fernandes and Kevin Misquith. Kevin Misquith has composed the music for the same, while for the first time seven different music arrangers have come together to arrange music for one album. Young and prolific singers have come together to sing for the album which include the likes of Joshal D’souza, Prajoth D’Sa, Ashwin Sequeira, Darrel Mascarenhas, Jackson Noronha, Royston Pinto, Arun Danthy and Kevin.

The album comprises of 14 tracks, which include title track 'Thembe thembe' which has already been very popular even before the release of the album, a acoustic unplugged version of Kevin's previous super hit song 'Kenna Kenna' and a remix track by DJ Rosh.

Though the makers of the album are youthful this album is made to soothe the music senses of all generations, undoubtedly both the young and old will be satisfied with richness in its lyrics, tunes, music and vocals.

Kevin Misquith, is a lead vocalist, a well known singer and composer and is the main force behind the formation of Milestone Music band. He is well known among the Konkani music lovers around the world. Making his appearance in the Konkani music scene at a very young age, he has performed consistently since his entry into the music field.

Kevin Misquith released his first Konkani debut album, ‘Rupnem’ in 2004. Following the huge response for his debut album, he released yet another Konkani hit album ‘Tuji Yaad’ in 2007. His last Konkani album, ‘He Jeen’ in 2008, too had a very good response from the Konkani and non-Konkani music lovers and was a huge success. ‘Hee Jeen’ was nominated at the Global Konkani Music Awards and won the award for the ‘Best lyricist’ and also was nominated in the best composition category. He not only has recorded these music albums but also has staged several music shows, 22 shows to be precise across Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai and recently in Kuwait, also is to perform in Muscat later this month.

    nice album kevin...loved the lyrics of wilson and clement...but if the singing is concerned i m not that much of happy with some songs..album would hv been more popular if some songs wer sung by popular singers of konkani too..but overall its a nice album, nice lyrics, nice compositions..
