Sullia: No Investigation into Dr Mitra Hegde Controversy, says DVS

Sullia: No Investigation into Dr Mitra Hegde Controversy, says DVS

Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (PS)

Sullia, Apr 9: "Three teams comprising 14 ministers in all have been formed to combat the drought situation in the state. They have already started inspection in taluks of Chamarajanagar, Gulbarga and Bijapur," said chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda.

He was speaking to reporters after landing at the helipad here on Monday April 9. He was on visit to attend the 'Nema' ceremony of his family deity.

He also brushed aside reports that the work on the new dam at Thumbay was going on at a slow pace due to lack of funds. "There is no shortage of funds. I have instructed the district administration to speed up the dam construction work," he said.

Regarding former chief minister Yeddyurappa's tour of the drought-hit districts, he said the report submitted by him will be considered and the situation will be scrutinized.

On the controversy surrounding Mangalore dentist Dr Mitra Hegde and her claim of being the President's dentist allegedly turning out false, he said there was no need for investigation into the matter.

"She has misused an important name for her personal gain, but the case does not carry enough weightage for an investigation. However, I shall ask my office to look into it," he said.

It may be recalled here that Dr Mitra Hegde had in 2010 claimed that she was the dentist to the President of India, but last week Dr Shivsharan Shetty alleged that as per the reply to the RTI application filed by him, her claim was false and no such appointment had been made. Dr Mitra, however, called it a conspiracy against her and stood firm.

About the possible induction of former minister Krishna J Palemar now that he has been given clean chit in the porngate case, DVS said steered clear of the matter saying that it was an internal issue which will be discussed and decided by the party.

On cabinet expansion which has been on the hold for sometime, DVS said he will decide on it after his trip to Singapore and Japan for a road show in connection with the global investors' meet to be held in Bangalore in June.

When queried about the compensation to endosulfan victims, he said compensation has been given to those who had applied for it, and added that those who hadn't got it yet should apply for it.

He then visited the Mallikarjuna temple with his family and prayed.

I fully agree with ISMAIL K. PERINJE about the controversy about Dr. Mitra's claim about being the private dentist of the President of India. I put many comments supporting her in the media asking her to get some solid proof to convince to everybody but nothing came up. Now I feel that she is playing some games to for her own benefits.I really trusted her from her comments in the media and now I feel this is a joke. Even DVS has said that her claim was false and she states it is a conspiracy against her. I will not believe until she comes with a solid proof. I still feel how this dentist with high reputation should do such a thing. So Dr. Mitra come out with your real story and prove to the world that you did not do anything against the law and the people.

    7) He has reduced the security cover of himself from Zplus to Y and also did the same for all minister.
    8) No security for MLA who don't have risk. He thinks police is there to protect common man.
    9) He has suspended the officers who has not taken action against corruption.
    10) Laptop at cheap price around 1000 something for 12th Pass students. And the quality of Laptop is worth taking.

Excellent na. I have not gone through everything but it is something I know. There may be more. And all knows he is not corrupt and a IITian.

WOW. Think what he can do if he becomes PM of India.
He is acting like Anil Kapoor in Nayak
The only CM I feel is good like him is Modi but paid media has unnecessarily tarnished his image.

Surprising to see most of the time DVS,CM's Copter hovering around Sullia,Puttur,Mangalore and Udupi! We have half the area of Karnataka are under severe drought which can be tackled with money only for the time being. If ministers, including CM concentrate on personal interest like safeguarding CM Chair or personal visit in Helicopter in a time half of the Karnataka lacking potable/drinking water and fodder for animals.

Simply forming ministerial team to visit drought hit area in which 75% of ministers are hostile to DVS which makes no sense!!
All three major political parties of Karnataka are doing 'BARA' politics instead of tackling
    'bara' itself.

In BJP one camp wishes Yeddy should be indicted by CEC which in turn makes DVS camp blessings in disguise.Where as Yeddy openly taunted DVS in a press meet that when he was in the helm, there were rain prosperity and every thing ok including good monsoon! These backbiting shows that BJP politicians in Karnataka has no time to solve the problems of citizens instead concentrating with their own problems.

Right from the begning, Cabinet berths were vacant for the reason of dissent of ambitious BJP lawmakers.Every time when Cabinet expansion was due, one or other reason it was postponed indefinably which gave BJP leadership sigh of reliefs time to time..CM, under the circumstances, handling more than dozen portfolios which is unprecedented. However, if CM go head with cabinet expansion under given situation,(I think expansion may delay further if Yeddy able to come out from CEC action)All these developments indicates that there could be early general election for Karnataka Assembly sooner or later.

Dr Mitra Hegde's controversy over the issue 'PRESIDENT OF INDIA's PRIVATE DENTIST' gaining momentum that her foes asking govt of Karnataka to withdraw medal from her. With immediate effect it is better if she withdraws a sentence from visiting card as PRESIDENT OF INDIA's PRIVATE DENTIST.As per her clients she is indeed very good dentist but the issue here is proclamation of Private Dentist to President of India. Therefore, to uphold morality and ethics of profession, Dr Mitra need to convince to general public her claim...
