Mangalore: St Agnes College Celebrates First Graduation Day

Mangalore, Mar 17: St Agnes College celebrated its first graduation day at the college grounds on Saturday March 17 with a sparkling event.

Sr M Linette, provincial superior, Karnataka province presided. Chief guest Dr Fr Thomas Chathaparambil C M I, vice-chancellor, Christ University, Bangalore delivered the graduation day address.

In his address, Fr Thomas said that the graduates would be transcending from the campus into the community. He wished them the best as they would be beginning a new life in the society as graduates.

He urged the graduates to make a difference in the future of our society, and with examples explained the life history of five role models in his life namely Narayan Murthy, Amrith Singh, Mother Teresa, Manmohan Singh and Mallika Sarabhai. He also said that only through continous learning, can one achieve any positive change.

Dr Sr M Olivia, former principal and joint secretary, St Agnes College was the guest of honour.

Sr M Supriya, vice-president and convener, Dr Sr M Prem D'Souza, principal, Shailaja K, registrar (evaluation) were present.

    in our college. For the first time!
    we need to appreciate it should not condemn. Mistakes will happen it\s o.k. let us accept it......

    it was really a disgusting program. there is no value for the students who passed out with the distinction,Ist class or whatever.all students were waiting outside for the degree certificate like beggars inspite of giving 200 rupees registration fees. this is what ST. AGNES COLLEGE IS " WE ARE PROUD TO BE AGNESIAN WITHOUT OUR CONVOCATION CERTIFICATE" plz this s the request by all the students that do not continue the same next year.and one thing plz return that 200 rupees. plzzzzz dont make money like this.......
