Bangalore: MP Chandre Gowda Tenders Unconditional Apology to High Court

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Feb 22: Former state minister and MP, D B Chandre Gowda, filed an affidavit in the High Court on Tuesday February 21, tendering an unconditional apology for the statements purported to have been made by him against the judiciary.

A newspaper had reported that Gowda, addressing a press conference on October 18, 2011, had accused the Governor of the state of giving hurried permissions for court action wherever complaints are made against the BJP government or Yeddyurappa, and that this is giving rise to suspicions. He also reportedly commented that court orders are being prepared at the Raj Bhavan.  Based on this report, judge of Lokayukta court, Justice N K Sudheendra Rao, had complained to the high court registrar, who in turn, registered Suo moto case of contempt of court against Gowda.

Chandre Gowda, in the affidavit filed through his advocate, said that being a lawyer, former law minister of the state and MP, he has high regard and respect for the courts and judiciary, and that he had not issued any statements that are derogatory of these institutions. He also tendered an unconditional apology, if he had by mistake, issued such a statement.

Taking cognizance of the apology, the bench comprising Justice Bhaktavatsala and Justice H S Kempanna, closed the case, duly asking the newspaper concerned not to behave in a way which damages the reputation of a person.

On Live TV debates he had batted & battled to save his master- feigning ignorance about his misdeeds & corruption, without directly answering to any questions posed to him by panelists.
He had said the same things there also.
Now to save his own skin he was forced to lie & follow in his masters footsteps-What a Travesty of Justice!?

True, Yeddyurappa rehabilitated the "aya ram, gaya ram" Chandre Gowda... He is also alleged to have denotified land for DBC's daughter. No wonder, he has supported Yeddyurappa as if he gets caught, DBC also will be exposed. The other person who deserves to be exposed is Dhananjay Kumar, who used to come on TV and always issue statements supporting the corrupt practices of Yeddyurappa and his family. One should probe Santosh Hegde's statement that Dhananjay Kumar had come to his home and asked Yeddyurappa's name to be d from the report and based on that take action against Dhananjay Kumar for trying to influence the judiciary by trying to intimidate, bribe them ...

Why should the court accept such an apology? Will I be forgiven if I tell the courts?

Mr Chandre Gowda owes his position in BJP to BSY. So he will not like his master blamed or punished. He becomes His Master's Voice. He is more a politician than a lawer or law minister. He is the person who jumps to the winning side and keeps his master happy always.
