Udupi, Sep 12: “The state government is misusing power. It is a campaign between Congress power and BJP’s people power. We are prepared to speak in Vidhana Saudha if BJP workers are troubled,” said Vidhana Parishat member Kota Srinivas Poojary.

He was speaking in a protest walk in the leadership of Kaup BJP and backward class morcha from Hejmady to Kaup on September 11.

“The state government which claims to be in favour of Ahinda is taking time to issue title deeds to 27 thousand poor belonging to Ahinda in coastal district. The rally is being held to wake them up.”

BJP district president Mattaru Rathnaker Hegde, former MLA Lalaji R Mendon, BJP district Vice president Suresh Shetty Gurme, backward class morcha state secretary Satyajith Surathkal, Zilla panchayat vice president Sheela K Shetty and state executive member Udaya Kumar Shetty addressed the gathering.

Kaup BJP president Prakash Shetty Padebettu presided. Taluk panchayat president Nalini Pradeep, Zilla panchayat member Geethanjali Suvarna, Shilpa G Suvarna, district spokesperson Katpadi Shanker Poojary, leaders Kiran Kumar, Shamala Kunder, Kuthyar Navin Shetty, Kailadi Suresh Naik, Yashpal Suvarna, Nayana Ganesh, Arun Shetty Padooru, Kesari Yuvaraj, Vitala Poojary, Sandeep Shetty Kalya, Praveen Poojary and others were present.

Backward class morcha president Nithin Sherigar welcomed. Backward class morcha district president Rajesh Kaveri gave a key note address. Secretary Santhosh Jathan Uppoor compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
