Sr Maria Goretti AC (90) nee Benedicta Louisa Morris daughter of the late Stanislas James Morris and the late Juliana D’Souza, belonging to Holy Redeemer Church, Belthangady, sister of the late Sr Muriel AC, the late Sr Theresa Shenoy AC, the late Sr Dorinda AC, the late Celine Rodrigues/John Rodrigues, the late Fr Joe Shenoy, Vijay Morris/Dr Gladys Pais, Fr Michael Morris OCD, Norbert M Shenoy/Clotilda Shenoy and Mary Grace Morris/the late Sherry Pereira passed away at St Ann’s Convent, Mangaluru, on August 12, 2020.

Funeral rites will be on Thursday, August 13 at 3.30 pm at St Ann’s Convent Chapel, Mangaluru.

She taught the little children to pray daily before class when they visited St. Ann's chapel. I am proud of her as she took care of me one year when I was a student sister at St. Ann's. I pray that she may rest in peace.

Dear sisters of St. Anne's convent and her beloved siblings and their families.

Sr. Maria Goretti had a special place in our hearts...her kindness, warmth and generosity knew no bounds.
Whenever we stopped by at the AC convent in Bondel or St Anne's convent, Bolar, she would warmly welcome us and made sure that we didn't leave without offering us some refreshments.
When we approached her in confidence to pray for a particular intention she would willingly offer to petition our cause to Jesus and Mother Mary.
She was not only my sister Juliette's friend but her confidante and mentor too.
On behalf of Irwin my husband, my daughters Kamini, Anjali and Nandita,
dear sisters and Nobert and Clotilda please accept our deepest sympathies.
May God grant repose to her beautiful soul and comfort and strengthen you as you mourn her passing away.

She taught us little prayers to say whenever we visited the chapel, which we recite everyday, she instilled in us a very strong desire and love for our Lord and mother Mary. We always made sure we met her everyday and asked her blessings.

She was in my school st cecilies udupi during 1960
A very nice and humble sister I don’t remember now exactly but perhaps
she was teaching arts and crafts and cutting and stitching classes.
