Funeral in Our Lady of Miracles Church, Haliyal, Dandeli, Uttar Kannada, on Wednesday, April 10 at 10.30 am.

Shocked to hear the news of Father Denis's untimely death. I knew him as a child while I was in Dandeli and he was the parish priest. He had that captivating smile on his face which charmed everybody. Very soft spoken , kind , comical , he had that mischievous gleam in his eyes . I will forever remember him fondly as our Fr.Denis. Even after a gap of almost 40 years, his memories are still fresh in our minds. My heartfelt condolences to his grieving family. May his soul rest in peace.

Sad to note that Fr Denis of Karwar Diocese is no more. He hails from Bajpe and that he studied in St Joseph Seminary. He is a talented and loving priest always loved by his Parishioners. He did well wherever he went. He suffered this dreadful cancer disease silently. Never complained nor grumbled.Whenever he had come for the treatment here to Father Mullers he never grumbled but silently suffered. He loved his school teachers very much.He was a loving priest. May his soul rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to all the Priests of Karwar and Bishop.

I have known Father Denis for a very long time when he first came to Dandeli. He was not only a Priest but a good friend of mine. He has served the people of God and nourished the them with the Word and Body of Jesus during his pastoral ministry. God called him because He wanted him the most. I know since the time he came to know of his terminal illness, he accepted it so well with a smile on his face always inspite the pain and agony he went through. We will miss him always and will remain in our prayers. May God grant him the eternal Bliss of Heaven with all the Angels and His Saints. Assuring my prayers to his beloved brothers Felix and Roque. My since heartfelt condolences. Also my sympathies goes out to Rt. Rev Dr. Derek, Bishop of Karwar and to the entire fraternity of the Priests of the Karwar Diocese.

I have Known Fr. Denis while working for BPK Honnavar. Admired his unique way of manifesting God. Always dignified, courteous, humble , jovial,and kind. Fr. Denis did not call attention to himself . Fr. Denis who was born to a very humble parents of Bajpe was ordained as Priest of the Karwar
Diocese during the year 1984. I attended his ordination which took place at Bajpe.
I met him at Haliyal during the year 1994 . I used to work for the SBI and stayed with him for a week during my temporary posting at the Haliyal Branch. During this time I cam to know more about him. He was a dedicated and zealous priest. He worked relentlessly for the poor and the needy parishioners wherever he served. We have lost a good priest. I am saddened at his demise. May God grant him eternal rest.

I first met Fr.Denis in the year 1986 at Dandeli when I started my career. He was the parish priest there and a very good preacher. He was people friendly person. He was instrumental in renovating the old Dandeli church and building a new one. A priest who was easily approachable by his parishoners and guide to the youth.
