Francis Fernandes (28) from Nainadu, near Madanthyar, Banwal Taluk, resident of Dubai over the last 8 months and employed with Park n Shop, Jumeirah Branch, son of Lawrence and Lily Fernandes, 7th in the family of 9 children, brother of Jerome, Leo, Eliza, Christine, Jacintha, Daniel (Seminarian in Pune) Sangeetha & Magdeline, died of drowning, around 3 pm. on Tuesday October 16, 2007.

Embalming and blessing of the mortal remains were completed in Dubai by Fr Frederick D'Souza on Tuesday October 23 at 4.30 pm.

Funeral cortege leaves residence at Nainad for St Francis Assisi Church, Nainad at 9 am on Thursday October 25. Funeral mass at 10 am.
